So Christ Himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip His people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13 It is Teacher Appreciation Week! If ever there was a time to appreciate teachers, it is now. Thanks to each of you, our PSD teachers! We see you! We see how you are being creative, supportive and grace-filled to ensure the students God placed into your classrooms are connected and engaged so that they continue to grow academically and spiritually! This verse shares that Christ sees you too. In fact, He not only sees you, He gave you to your school community! Have you stopped to reflect on that? Christ Himself called you into ministry to be a part of the equipping of His people, even the youngest, for works of service so that together we can build up the body of Christ! That is what is being done now in the homes of every student in a PSD Lutheran school around our district. Students are being built up, reaching ever closer to unity in faith and knowledge of Jesus; daily becoming more mature and being filled to the fullness of Christ, all because God has called you, teacher, into your works of service.
